Dough preparation.

Rub in a bowl, the yeast with the sugar until diluted, then add a little warm water and 2 tablespoons of flour and mix the mayonnaise, which you leave to rise for a maximum of 10 minutes.

We form some spheres out of the dough, which we flatten in a round or elongated shape, we place a spoonful of jam mixed with walnuts and cinnamon, at one edge and we roll lightly, but not very tightly.

We leave the dough lighter to prepare well and evenly.

We press the rolls lightly to flatten them and give them that shape of langoustines.

Heat the oil in a saucepan and dip the langoustines in turn, as many as they can fit, but we make sure they have enough space to run freely.

We turn them from one side to the other and fry them evenly, over medium to high heat.

We must be very careful with the intensity of the fire, it must not be too small, so as not to soak the dough with oil, but not too big so as not to brown the dough only on the surface, and to remain unprepared inside.

We then take them out on absorbent towels, let them cool slightly and powder them with powdered sugar, mixed with cinnamon.

We serve the delicious langoustines with plum and walnut jam, slightly warm, so they are the best, but they go very well and cold.

Although I prepared the recipe for the challenge in advance, given that the shared blog is one dear to me (Fancy Cake), and so I knew in advance to receive what I would prepare, it was very difficult for me to post the recipe because I did not have neither for the necessary time nor was I at all satisfied with the pictures and I kept postponing, hoping to redo both the recipe and the pictures. I didn't succeed, but I can tell you that the langoustines are better and fluffier than the ones I've eaten anywhere before. I made a double portion from the start and flavored the cheese with lots of greens, the dough had a sublime aroma of honey. A madness !!

Fluffy langoustines with cheese and dill

I dissolved the yeast in a little warm milk, mixing it with a teaspoon of honey. I poured the mayonnaise in the bowl in which I sifted the flour mixed with salt.

I kneaded an elastic and not at all sticky dough from flour, milk, 4 tablespoons oil and lard,

I left it to rise for 40 minutes, in a warm place, protected from currents.

After the dough has risen enough, the dough is torn off the dough and spread on a greased or floured plate, grease the sheet with a spoonful of filling and fold in half, sealing the sheet well or, if the dough has been smaller, spread a round sheet, grease and then cover with another sheet sealing the edges. We continue the list of fasting sweets with a recipe that is very easy to prepare, with simple ingredients and is ready in just 1 hour. A 20 × 30 tray was used to bake the cake and 20 pieces came out.

330 gr flour, 200 gr chopped walnuts
180 gr margarine with 72% fat (I used Rama for cakes but the Union 67% is also good)

Place in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees, then leave to cool completely and cut.

If you also want icing: melt the chocolate and put honey on it, 3 tablespoons of hot water and a teaspoon of oil, then mix.

We cut the fasting cake completely cooled into pieces, which we take out on a grill under which we put a plate. Glaze each piece and sprinkle almond flakes, walnut kernels or coconut on top.

Put the tray in the oven and let them bake for about half an hour, or until they lightly brown on the surface and the toothpick comes out clean.

They are served hot, but they are good and cold.
