It's an Egyptian recipe, not Greek as I used to, but I still know it from my mother-in-law! It's a kind of bean, I haven't seen it here, but I buy it canned. The Egyptians eat it as a snack or even for breakfast, put in Arabic paste and accompanied by spicy pickles. It is a very simple and very quick recipe, it is also indicated as fasting food.

  • 1 box of pulp 400gr
  • the juice of a squeezed lemon
  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil

Servings: 2

Preparation time: less than 15 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Fulia (foul medammas):

We throw half of the juice that is in the can and pour the rest into a saucepan and heat over low heat. When it starts to boil a little, grind the beans with a fork, mix and add to taste the rest of the ingredients.

Serve with boiled egg and Arabic stick, accompanied by spicy assorted pickles.
